Health Canada: children's sleepwear recall

The recalled Pehr Designs Inc. Kimono Rompers do not comply with the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children. Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body. CAF submits preliminary comments on CUSMA Renewal

The Canadian Apparel Federation has submitted preliminary comments to the Canadian government regarding the renewal of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement, (CUSMA).  CUSMA (known as USMCA in the United States) is the successor to NAFTA. The Canadian government has  requested comments on its forced labour import ban. The Canadian government earlier this year launched a review of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE). Request for Comments on Proposed Duty Drawback Policy Change

    The Canadian government is considering a change to its duty drawback policies to allow companies to donate surplus merchandise to charitable organizations within Canada and receive a refund on any duties paid on imported goods. This proposed change aims to reduce waste and provide much-needed support to Canadians in need.
