As part of Canada's Defence Industrial Strategy, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) has launched a new defence concierge service to help businesses navigate government programs, services, and opportunities related to national rearmament and reinvestment in the Canadian Armed Forces.
The service offers a single-window approach connecting firms active in one of Canada's ten sovereign capability areas with the right government resources. For apparel and textile companies, the most relevant category is Personnel Protection — covering the equipment and materials that protect the men and women who serve.
The service is launching in phases. At this stage, companies can submit their details and a member of the ISED team will follow up to assess your needs and connect you with appropriate programs and supports.
If your firm works in technical or protective apparel, performance textiles, or related manufacturing, this is worth exploring.
To get started or learn more, visit the defence concierge service page or contact the team directly at defence-defense.concierge@ised-isde.gc.ca.
