Webinar: Doing Business with the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry

Raul Travado is a Senior Trade & Investment Officer at AICEP Portugal Global in Toronto.  Raul began is long-standing career with AICEP at its headquarters in Lisbon, where he gained experience in multiple departments, and contributed to numerous initiatives supporting the international expansion of Portuguese companies, across a range of industries.  In the mid-90’s, he was assigned to AICEP’s New York Office. Raul relocated to the Toronto Office in the early 2000’s, where he has since played a key role in supporting the successful entry of hundreds of Portuguese companies into the Canadian market, including in the Textiles and Apparel sector. He has also been instrumental in assisting many Canadian businesses in sourcing Portuguese goods, connecting with Portuguese companies, and finding the right manufacturing partners in Portugal.  

Ana is Director General of ATP, the Portuguese Textile and Apparel Association, which represents the entire textile and apparel value chain in Portugal. She leads ATP’s political and institutional agenda, strengthening the sector’s strategic positioning and ensuring the defence and promotion of the Portuguese textile and apparel industry at national and international levels.
