Description
Since its inauguration in 2004, the AAG annual national conference has taken place on college and university campuses across Canada, hosted by member schools, to give all AAG members the opportunity to participate. Each conference offers fashion instructors the chance to tour a thriving Canadian apparel industry destination in combination with sessions that include industry guests, colleagues, and graduates from a variety of post-secondary fashion programs offering courses in textiles, merchandising, design, marketing, and production.
With host MC College Edmonton, the AAG Conference Organizing Committee is pleased to highlight the fashion and beauty sector of the Canadian Prairies. Attendees will discover an eclectic mix of Midwestern industry innovators—each expressing a distinct creative identity and perspective.
Join fellow educators from across Canada within an opening applied-based learning atelier facilitated by keynote Indigenous guest speaker Heather Bouchier. Benefit firsthand from enriching industry-expert led discussion panels and exclusive behind-the-scene guided tours of two globally-recognized industrial/designer artisan brands, including: IMC (International Mascot Corporation) and Sweet Carousel Corsetry.
