She helps clients identify and mitigate the risk of forced labor in their supply chains. Angela works with companies to ensure that all regulatory requirements are observed and that policies and procedures are in place to prevent the use of forced labor in the production of their products.


Angela responds to Customs questionnaires and prepares petitions for the release of merchandise detained in connection with forced labor Withhold Release Orders. Angela helps clients to stay up to date on new developments, such as the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, and government enforcement measures in the space.

Satinder is a Trade & Customs consultant for Miller Thomson, LLP in Vancouver. Satinder has close to twenty years of work experience working in the Trade & Customs environment. He provides advice to clients on various customs programs (Valuation, Classification, Origin, Import & Export Controls, and Sanctions). Satinder’s service for clients includes developing duty minimization strategies, mitigating customs risk, customs duty recovery, assessing NAFTA eligibility for goods, requesting Customs Ruling from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), helping clients navigate through countervailing and antidumping investigations, Appeals and assisting lawyers develop arguments to be heard at the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT).
