Description
Please join the Canadian Apparel Federation and Marten Law for a discussion on complying with U.S. and Canadian regulations concerning per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly known as “forever chemicals.”
James Pollack and Isabel Carey will present on the recent surge in state efforts to regulate PFAS in apparel products, including prohibitions and reporting requirements either already in effect or soon to be in effect. The webinar will also provide an overview of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s PFAS Reporting Rule under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) – submissions are due in January 2026 – and discuss California’s recent updates to Proposition 65 listings and labels.
The presentation will conclude by reviewing Canada’s recently proposed Risk Management Approach for phasing out PFAS uses, including from the apparel and textile industry.
