We encourage all firms to review how these guidelines would impact your marketing.
Additionally, new private actions under the Competition Act, allowing individuals and organizations to challenge deceptive marketing and anti-competitive agreements, will take effect on June 20, 2025. These changes expand private access to the Competition Tribunal, making it easier for parties to seek legal remedies for violations.
CAF hosted a webinar on the new anti-greenwashing provisions of the Competition Act last fall.
If CAF members want us to provide an updated webinar, incorporating this guidance, we will do so.
