Webinar: Modern slavery reporting - an update on Canada's Supply Chain Act (formerly Bill S-211)
Join officials from Public Safety Canada and BLG for a discussion of Modern Slavery reporting in Canada. Under the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (the Supply Chains Act), many companies must report annually to the Government of Canada the steps they have taken to prevent and reduce the risk that forced labour or child labour is in their supply chains.
The webinar will offer a brief overview and status report of modern slavery reporting in Canada under the Supply Chains Act (frequently referred to as Bill S-211). This will include an overview of the reporting over the last two years, and suggestions about how to avoid some common mistakes in reporting.
The webinar will also cover recent efforts to better align reporting requirements in Canada with other jurisdictions.
The purpose of the webinar is to ensure reporting companies are best prepared for the 2026 reporting cycle.
Who should attend:
Representatives of companies that are required to report under the Supply Chains Act
Representatives of companies that have modern slavery reporting requirements in different jurisdictions (Canada, UK, Australia etc.)
