ive, first established in 2023, to update key customs valuation procedures
. \nCanada Border Services Agency (CBSA) invited companies to complete a
survey, which requests detailed information from importers, outlining vari
ous types of customs valuation methods they employ to import goods into Ca
nada. \nThe current survey/proposals from CBSA may have a significant imp
act on how imported goods are valued and duties payable. Importers that ha
ve received an invitation to complete the survey have expressed concerns a
bout the lack of clarity. \nIn 2023, there was considerable confusion reg
arding many aspects of the Canadian government&rsquo\;s proposal to update
customs valuation rules. Some of these issues have been addressed. Many o
thers remain outstanding.\nCBSA has asked companies to complete the survey
by January 23, 2026. \nThe webinar will discuss the survey, the CBSA pr
