 requirements for French language labelling, signage and communications in 
 the province of Quebec. \nThe webinar will take account of recent changes 
 to Quebec&rsquo\;s language law, as updated by Bill 96 and associated regu
 lations.\nOn June 26, 2024, a Regulation was published aiming to clarify c
 ertain amendments made to the Charter of the French Language (the &ldquo\;
 Charter&rdquo\;) under the much-discussed Bill 96 and to facilitate the im
 plementation of the Charter as modified by Bill 96. Building on an earlier
  draft published in January 2024 the Regulation provides specifics and con
 cessions regarding the regime applicable to the use of trademarks in langu
 ages other than French on packaging and signage.\nThe webinar will focus o
 n practical compliance issues and highlight the circumstances where change
 s to the Charter were instituted in Bill 96.  There continues to be confus
 ion and lack of knowledge as to what French requirements already existed, 
 and what changes were made by Bill 96.  To add to the confusion, Bill 96 i
 nitially proposed more stringent rules that were walked back in the end. T
